Growing is a great theme for springtime. This CD contains 30 planned activities directly related to the EYFS. As with all the disks in this range, the planning sheets are completely editable.
The planned activities will help children learn about the conditions for growth for all living things including babies! They will have the opportunity to watch the changes all around them as the days grow warmer and they will be involved in planting and caring for a range of seeds, plants and flowers. The plans include two role play areas, a baby clinic and a garden centre.
The features letters on this disk are L, N and F and they incorporate a range of handwriting sheets and letter and sound games.
The children will learn about how birds make nests ready to lay their own eggs, how tadpoles turn into frogs and how leaves start to grow back on the trees. They will learn rhymes and songs make flower cakes and nests and play simple number games.
At the end of the topic there is a lotto game with lovely pictures related to all the activities in which the children have taken part. As the children play the game and chat about the pictures, you should be able to gain an insight into what they have learned about the important concepts of change and time.
