The Company

This CD with a colour shape and texture theme is one of our best sellers. It has 30 planned activities related to the EYFS curriculum. These activities are suitable for children aged 2 – 5. All the planning sheets are fully editable, so you can make them personal to your setting including the names of your members of staff and children. Depending on the size of your setting, these should keep the children interested and stimulated for at least three weeks. The activities on this CD are very practical and sometimes very messy but definitely great fun! The plans encourage children to feel the texture of “goop”, sand, bubbles and dough and to experiment with colour as they are painting, printing and making collages. The properties of 2D and 3D shapes are investigated while building models and making shape pictures.

Some of the plans are “one off” circle time games or stories, others form introductions to much longer in depth experiences which the children will want to explore over several weeks or months. Some children, for example, might become very involved in exploring clay and as their interest grows beyond the attraction of the smell and feel they will involve tools and materials and explore what happens to clay when it is left to dry and when it is painted.

The three letters featured on this CD are C, O and G. An interesting collection of green foods beginning with G such a grapes and gooseberries will challenge older children while younger children can explore the patterns fingers can make in shallow trays of salt.  When children can correctly form letter C and O then they will be prepared for the much more challenging letter G.

As with all the disks, this CD contains signs, letters and notes designed to keep the parents informed of all the exciting things their children do each day!
