This CD with an animals theme has 40 planned activities related to the EYFS curriculum. These activities are suitable for children aged 2 – 5 with some aimed at specific age groups. All the planning sheets are fully editable, so you can make them personal to your setting including the names of your staff and children. Depending on the size of your setting, these should keep the children interested and stimulated for at least four weeks. The activities have been divided into weeks simply to make presentation and organisation easier. They can, however, be introduced in whatever way suits you. Similarly, from the range of activities you might wish to select those which best suit the ages and interests of your children.
Some of the plans are “one off” circle time activities, some are counting games or songs which can be repeated, others form introductions to much longer in depth experiences. Some children will become more involved in these activities and hopefully develop the concepts along their own lines of interest for an extended period of time.
The four letters featured on this CD are D, E, P and F. Included are a variety of activities related to these letters. For younger children, there is a simple sounds recognition game which is developed over the four weeks and for older ones there are handwriting sheets to help them practice forming the letters correctly.
The animals CD contains a small and a large number line and a wide selection of animal coat peg pictures.
